Building a path to mindful parenting

Introduction

This project is the second section of the educational app Piccoli Esploratori, developed as part of my Google UX Design certification. While the app itself is centered around user experience, this section delves deeper into educational design.

Through parent interviews and extensive research, I identified a common pain point: parents looking for an intuitive, structured and reliable resource to support their children’s cognitive and emotional development.

This section offers parents access to:

  • Expert-led video courses: Providing valuable insights and guidance.

  • One-on-one consultations: Tailored support from experts.

The Objectives

  • Help parents develop a deeper understanding of their children’s development needs

  • Offer structured and engaging educational content that aligns with evidence-based learning approaches

  • Ensure usability and accessibility, making the learning journey effortless and rewarding

UX Meets Learning Design

  • Each module focuses on a key parenting concept, allowing parents to progress at their own pace.

  • The course includes:

    • Interactive Cards: Bite-sized insights for quick learning.

    • Drag-and-Drop Exercises: Reinforcing concepts in a hands-on way.

    • Exploratory Pop-ups: Clickable elements revealing practical tips and expert insights.

Final Solution & Design Choices

The final prototype was carefully designed to maintain visual and structural consistency with the first section of the app, ensuring a seamless user experience.

While the core layout and navigation framework remained unchanged, I tailored the content structure and interactive elements to fit the specific needs of an educational context.
